(Non Horror Related) Gruemonkey sponsers High School Wrestling Documentary by Joey Ambrosini: Panther Brawl!!

Hello Grue-Lings,

Yes, Gruemonkey is a horror, rock and entertainment website. But we also like to help out people. Joey Ambrosini is a friend of Gruemonkey, he is a actor who is in a couple indie horror films. We covered a couple of his films here and also interviewed him. Very nice guy and very talented kid. Joey and his classmates (Colton DeLeo, Peter Dutkowsky, Austin Pompa, and Jason Lobdell (TEAM CAPTAIN) in Masuk High School want to leave a big mark in the history of the Masuk high school by doing this documentary. He asked us at Gruemonkey if we would help out and sponsor and help promote the documentary and I agreed to help him get the word out.

Masuk High School, home of the Panthers, where they have the blue ribbon. Masuk High School is located in the town of Monroe, Connecticut and this school year is bringing none other than what is to be the biggest project to ever come to the school’s way. Masuk High School’s Video Production Class is taught, this year, by Joe Carrino who was addressed by actor, Joey Ambrosini, about the idea to work on a documentary project on the Masuk wrestling team. Joey had worked with the other students in the class who he assigned to work behind the cameras, Jason Castro, Joe Constantino, and Robert Malgioglio, as he is hosts the documentary. As for the title, it is called ‘PANTHER BRAWL’ and below are the interviews we have conducted with Joey Ambrosini and a few of the wrestlers on the roster…

Peter Dutkowsky:

HELLTER: Were you a big wrestling fan, is that what made you want to join a wrestling team? If you aren’t a wrestling fan, what made you wanna join the team then?

PETER: No I was not a wrestling fan ever growing up. No WWE for me. I got into wrestling my sophomore year because my friend, Austin Pompa, said “just try it” and I fell in love with the sport!

.

.

HELLTER: What do you want people to get from this documentary when viewing this, what legacy do you want to leave for your High School?

PETER: I want people to get that wrestling isn’t the “grabbing dudes junk” or “wearing the tight spandex“ I want them to see this is a raw sport that takes a lot of heart and strength.

Colton DeLeo:

HELLTER: Were you a big wrestling fan, is that what made you want to join a wrestling team? If you aren’t a wrestling fan, what made you wanna join the team then?

COLTON: What made me want to join the wrestling team was to better myself because I’m super competitive.

Jason Lobdell:

HELLTER: Were you a big wrestling fan, is that what made you want to join a wrestling team? If you aren’t a wrestling fan, what made you wanna join the team then?

HELLTER: Were you a big wrestling fan, is that what made you want to join a wrestling team? If you aren’t a wrestling fan, what made you wanna join the team then?

JOEY AMBROSINI:

HELLTER: Welcome to Gruemonkey. Thank you for letting us be part of this amazing documentary about your wrestling Team. How did Panther Brawl all come about and what is your involvement in it?

JOEY: Well I’m currently a junior at Masuk High School and I love being a student there. You go in everyday, chat with your pals, and you have your favorite teachers. As for my favorite, I would say it’s the guy that teaches Video Production, Joe Carrino, who honestly has been a real big part behind all of this. I love being in his class, he’s a great teacher and I just asked him if he wouldn’t mind me doing such a documentary. I told him I’d be the one to host this documentary project and all that stuff. So after his approval and going over the game plan, I had spoken to the roster as well as the two coaches, Cody and Kyle Hoskins, and we had made this something that would be recognized as the biggest project to ever come to the school.

.

.

.

HELLTER: Are you happy with the final product of Panther Brawl and how was it like being filmed for a documentary?

JOEY: Very happy, indeed. You know something, as I was hosting this documentary, even way before we filmed the first portion of the project, I just knew that it was going to be amazing. I mean, as we know, this isn’t the first documentary I was in. But from then on, when the idea was thought of, I knew that it was going to be incredible. But when I saw the final cut, I was like wow (laughs). I was so proud of how much the hard work paid off. But honestly, I would say it’s mainly due to how much our roster, for the school, really hustled because at the end of the day, they deserve to really show it off a bit.

.

.

.

HELLTER: Your favorite moment or favorite part about being in this documentary?

JOEY: I would say, as the host, that I definitely enjoyed every part of doing this project. But I would say my favorite was the senior night scene, where I had interviewed both Jason Lobdell and Curtis Fedorko, because it was the last home meet of the season, so I was really happy to be there to see the guys really dominate for their last times wrestling at our school.
