New cast members added to Candyman remake!!
Jordan Peele produced Candyman remake will be directed by Nia DaCosta and it began filming in Chicago.
New cast members have been added to the film including: Brian King (Showtime’s The Chi, Starz!’s Boss), award-winning stage/screen actress Rebecca Spence (Princess Cyd, Public Enemies, Steppenwolf Theatre), Kyle Kaminsky (One Night in Hollywood, DriverX), Carl Clemons-Hopkins (Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton, Dreamgirls),Cedric Mays (Chicago’s Steppenwolf and Goodman Theatres), and Christiana Clark (Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Minneapolis’ Guthrie Theater). Also local news anchors Nancy Pender and Pam Jones.
Previously announced Candyman cast members include: Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits) Colman Domingo (Fear the Walking Dead), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Us), and Teyonah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk). Universal Pictures will distribute Candyman globally with the U.S. release date set for June 12th, 2020.
Nobody knows the status as of yet for Tony Todd, if he will even be in the movie at all?
