Today for Celebrity Picks we have Actor, writer, and producer Patrick D. Green. He has a new LGBTQ film called Escaping Freedom and a horror film called The Brain That Wouldn’t Die.
He was a shy boy who found he could become other people by stepping onto a stage with the words of a playwright securely fastened in his head during his youth, Patrick determined this was to be his destiny. After graduating college with a degree in Criminal Justice and minor fields of study in Psychology and Theatre, he went to work for Children’s Protective Services, helping child victims of physical and sexual abuse. Why? A classic, slow build with a pitch perfect creepy Anthony Perkins and the Hitchcock style of really twisting the knife into the audience’s back.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET:
One of the first horror films I saw and just so dark, but with one of the most badass horror heroines in the character Nancy.

UNDER THE SKIN:
I love non traditional horror and this sci-fi creeper does it so well with nuance and amazing sound design. Unsettling.

CREEP 2:
The first one was so great and I actually thought this was one of the few sequels out there to surpass the first. Duplass goes all in.

MIDSOMMAR:
I feel like Ari Aster is quickly becoming a newer master of horror. His films are just so weighted with dread in a way you can physically feel. I loved Hereditary as well.

ELVRIA MISTRISS OF THE DARK:
Guilty pleasure? No guilt here. I love Elvira and watch this movie every year right around Halloween. For me, a camp classic.

I’m just a sucker for classic feeling, gothic, ghost stories. And Nicole Kidman is amazing.

I love the tongue in cheek humor and what an amazingly fun cast.
