He is the main star Lucas in both Gay Vampire Horror films called Vampires: Brighter in Darkness and Lucas Rising. Rhys also starred in a episode of the popular tv series Game of Thrones, where he played Unsullied. He then went out to a gay tv series called Hollyoaks where he played Daryl. Grue-Lings, in honor for Grue’s Gay Pride Month, let’s welcome the sexy Gay Vampire Lucas himself, Rhys Howells. Here is his favorite horror films:

.
The Fourth Kind:
This may seem like a strange choice but, I judge most horrors by
how they affect me after the film ends. I went to see this at a midnight screening while in
university. My friend and I, went to see it having heard the hype about the real footage
etc. and we completely fell for it all hook line and sinker. Right after the movie we both
rang our mothers on the oddly misty walk home. Its one of the few movies that left me
really unsettled for a few weeks later.

.
Jaws:
A classic, but also another film that leaves you with a lasting feeling, i’m sure
millions still blame this film for being scared to go in the water. Also by the time I came to
see it the effects were still really good and the acting is great.

.
Silence of the Lambs:
The chemistry between Hopkins and Foster is exquisite. The
way the polished Dr.Lecter draws you in and you find yourself on his side is amazing and
highlights how good the writing and the performance of Hopkins is. Also he is a fellow
Welshman and someone I really admire as a performer.
.
.
.
Funny Games:
Deeply unsettling from start to finish, its so claustrophobic and
unpredictable, with great central performances. The closing piece of music is also insane.
.
.
.
Get Out:
It is such an incredibly fresh piece of original horror writing, and executed
just as well. The complete 360 the film takes 30mins is amazing. And of course the scene
that spawned the “Get Out Challenge”.
.
.
.
Halloween:
Michael Myers. Its when I first realised that silence is terrifying. Something
you cant talk to or reason with is a really powerful, couple that with the mask and that is a
scary dude.
.
.
.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers:
The Ending.
.
.
.
Warm Bodies:
Its a really fun film that once again took a really fresh approach to the
genre. And for once you have a warm feeling when the credits roll.
