Celebrity Picks: Dee Wallace!!
Hello my Grue-Lings,
I am so happy and excited to bring you all my Celebrity Picks this week. The ICON herself, Dee Wallace. She went to the University of Kansas and is a former ballet soloist, first broke into both TV and cinema screens in the mid-1970s in several horror and sci-fi films, and Dee quickly gained a cult following among the fantasy film fans. She was pursued by a clan of cannibal killers in The Hills Have Eyes (1977), terrorized by a pack of werewolves in the superb The Howling (1981), got a break from the horror, as a mom in the sci-fi hit E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), and nearly ends up lunch for a rabid St. Bernard in the heart-stopping Cujo (1983).
Dee has gone on to have a very busy acting career, appearing in over 90 feature films to date! She is not only known for horror, and in my eyes and many horror fans, she is a Scream Queen. She is still very popular and in high demand for movie roles. Below is Dee Wallace’s Top 8 favorite horror films:
Don’t Look Now:
You never see anything but flashes and your mind creates everything! Terrifying.
The Exorcist:
Something that could-and does-happen. The most terrifying scenario of all!
Frankenstein:
It was the first horror film I watched when I was about 7. My brother got in a lot of trouble! He was babysitting. Didn’t sleep for 2 months.
Cujo:
I don’t care if it’s mine. It’s scary as hell.
The Omen:
The acting and directing takes this to another level.
Psycho:
Come on. Isn’t it on everyone’s list? It gets all the way under your skin!
Silence of the Lambs:
Freaked me out for weeks. And I STILL want to work with Anthony Hopkins!
Jaws:
