Blumhouse TV and Facebook Watch team up for The Handless Maiden tale Sacred Lies!!

Blumhouse Television and Facebook Watch are teaming up for a new series called Sacred Lies. Produced by: Raelle Tucker and Scott Winant. It will be half hour, 8 episode series. A twist on the Grimms’ Brothers Tale, The Handless Maiden and the novel The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly from author Stephanie Oakes.  It’s about Minnow Bly the handless heroine who escapes a cult and finds herself in juvenile detention, suspected of knowing who killed her cult leader. Winant will executive produce and direct the first two episodes. The series stars: Toby Huss, Elena Kampouris, Kevin Carroll, Kiana Madeira and Ryan Robbins.

A teenage cult survivor finally finds freedom, friendship and hope in juvenile detention where she is held as the FBI piece together the mystery behind the cult and its radical prophet’s death. Based on the novel by Stephanie Oakes, Sacred Lies is a modern take on the Grimm’s fairy tale, “The Handless Maiden.”
