A english language remake is coming for Paraguayan thriller Morgue!!

Paraguayan thriller Morgue is getting an English-language remake from screenwriter and producer Eric Heisserer.

Deadline is reporting that it centers on a freelance security guard who is assigned to cover a night shift at the hospital after hitting someone with his car and fleeing the scene. As you might imagine, while on shift that night, he discovers the body of his victim in the morgue. Moo-Haha. And as the night progresses, he is tormented by his guilt… or something more sinister.

The original was written, produced, and directed by Hugo Cardozo “based on real events.” The flick spent two weeks as the Number 1 film in Paraguay. Cardozo and Guido Rud will be executive producers on the English-language remake.
