Women of Horror: Shareefa Daanish (Macabre, Danur, Asih)

Shareefa Daanish told Gruemonkey what it means to her to be a Woman of Horror. Shareefa starred in the very disturbing horror film Macabre, she has also been in all the Danur films and will star in the newest horror film AsihDANUR 1 released in 2017 is the 2nd highest-selling horror flick of all time in Indonesia (2.7 million admissions) and DANUR 2 released this year is right behind it with 2.6 million admissions. We’re hoping to get a similar number for ASIH, local audience in Indonesia loves Shareefa as AsihASIH will be released on October 11, 2018. Danur films and Asih are directed by Awi Suryadi. Below is what Shareefa Daanish told Gruemonkey:

.

To act as antagonist character and or ghost role in horror films is one of my ways to deepen my acting experience. I’m an actor I have many faces. I crave for roles that widen my fantasies and imaginations. I want my role to bring deep impressions to the audience and to add the soul to the film itself. As Asih, in both Danur and Asih movies, the challenge that I have to deal with that they were a less-dialogue and a non-dialogue character, therefore I have to be able to develop and bring up a correct and a strong facial expression and gesture, as well as to optimally reinforce wardrobe and make up. Hopefully, my role in the movie can deliver the most thrilling and shivering experience to the horror movie freaks.
